Heaven on Earth
16x20, edition of 750

Johannus started his career as a full time artist over 20 years ago, painting everything from shirts to refrigerator doors. He now paints on canvas.

His inspiration comes from both nature and children. Johannus paints a story while capturing the innocence and free spirit of his subjects. His work exudes a feeling of warmth and joy. While viewing his work, one is challenged to look closely to appreciate both the detail and the essence of the painting.

"I am overwhelmed by all the heart-warming response to my work. I realize that the love I express in my paintings touches people and that is my greatest gift."

Boots' surreal works contain an incredible amount of detail - faces and animals woven into the woodland background, each rock behind a waterfall reveals another human profile. It is impossible to show such detail in these pages - we invite you to see for yourself at our gallery.
